Apple announced new Apple Intelligence updates across Safari, Messages, Calendar, Phone, Shortcuts, Image Playground, and Photos apps.

Safari gains AI-powered tab management that groups tabs by topic automatically and suggests related tabs. The app can also create custom extensions using text prompts, monitor pages for changes, and update compromised passwords with one tap.

Messages gets AI-powered reply suggestions and photo search by text description; Calendar lets users create events by typing in natural language; the Phone app can now pull context from Mail and Messages mid-call to surface relevant information like flight details.

Shortcuts now allows users to describe workflows in plain language and have the app build the shortcut automatically. Image Playground adds natural-language editing, more photorealistic image generation, and the ability to adjust dimensions and generate wallpapers and contact posters.

Photos cleanup tool gains improved object removal and an expansion tool that extends photo edges. A new Spatial Reframing feature repositions subjects within a frame using on-device spatial models and image generation, and works on existing photos in users' libraries.
