Meta begins testing paid AI subscription plans priced at $7.99 and $19.99 per month

Meta will test two subscription tiers for its Meta AI app and website: Meta One Plus at $7.99 a month and Meta One Premium at $19.99 a month. The Premium plan offers additional computing capacity for more comprehensive responses and advanced features, while a free version remains available.

Testing launches next month in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia. Meta AI head Naomi Gleit stated the plans 'give people who use Meta AI more to work with, more capacity, bigger, more complex requests, and more room to create for businesses and creators.'

This represents Meta's first subscription revenue model for AI features as it competes with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini. CEO Mark Zuckerberg previously indicated the company could offer a subscription service as Meta AI improves.
