WFY24 Weather Widget — a free WordPress plugin embedding real-time forecasts in 50 languages with 6.6 KB gzipped footprint

A free WordPress plugin lets site admins embed a weather widget via shortcode, Gutenberg block, or sidebar with zero setup friction — the plugin auto-registers the site on activation using the admin email and walks through three clicks (Activate, Create page, Add to sidebar).

The widget displays temperature, conditions, wind, humidity, and 7-day forecast; supports 5 layouts (Classic, Compact, Minimal, Badge, Forecast) and 3 themes (Auto, Light, Dark); uses Shadow DOM isolation to prevent CSS conflicts; and draws data from multiple NWP models (ICON-D2, ICON-EU, ICON-Global, GFS) plus ML post-processing.
