PageGuide is a browser extension powered by Gemini-3-Flash that addresses three user needs: Find (locating and highlighting relevant evidence on the page), Guide (showing step-by-step instructions one at a time), and Hide (hiding distracting content with justification and a reviewable checklist).

A lightweight intent router classifies each query and dispatches it to one of three handlers, which read the live HTML DOM and perform grounded actions directly on the page—contrasting with existing agents that return answers without showing where information comes from.

In a within-subject controlled user study (N = 94), PageGuide outperformed unaided browsing: Hide accuracy improved by 26 percentage points and task time dropped by 70%; Guide completion rate increased by 30 percentage points; and Find reduced Ctrl+F usage by 80% and task time by 19%.
