Arm CEO Rene Haas to expand role leading SoftBank's international operations while advancing the company's AI chip strategy against Nvidia.

Rene Haas, CEO of chip designer Arm, is set to take on expanded responsibilities overseeing much of parent company SoftBank Group's international business

Haas will retain his current position at Arm while taking on the new leadership role

The move is designed to advance SoftBank's Project Izanagi, an AI chip strategy created to compete with major rivals like Nvidia

Both Arm and SoftBank declined to comment on the reported appointment
