Celestica announces DS6000-series 1.6TbE switches are now available for order, transitioning from development to market-ready status for GenAI and ML infrastructure.

On April 29, Celestica announced that its DS6000-series 1.6TbE switches are now available for order. The switches are powered by Broadcom Tomahawk 6 silicon and provide a non-blocking switching capacity of up to 102.4 Tbps.

The DS6000-series is offered in two form factors: the 3RU DS6000 (air-cooled for standard 19-inch racks) and the 2OU DS6001 (hybrid-cooled for 21-inch OCP ORv3 environments). Both models feature 64 ports of 1.6TbE connectivity and support copper and optical interconnects.

Celestica uses open networking standards such as SONiC and adheres to specifications from the Ultra Ethernet Consortium and the Open Compute Project, aiming to eliminate bottlenecks in the backend networks of AI factories.
