Parlor Jarvis brings multilingual AI conversations to your own computer — no cloud, no fees, just talk to it

A developer released Parlor Jarvis, an open-source AI assistant that runs entirely on your machine (Mac with Apple Silicon or Linux with a GPU). You speak in any of 5 languages (English, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, French), show your camera or screen, and the AI talks back in real-time — all locally, with no data sent to a server.

Unlike cloud-based AI services, Parlor Jarvis needs only ~3 GB of free RAM and processes your speech + vision input in about 2.5–3 seconds end-to-end on an M3 Pro Mac. The system uses smaller, multilingual models (Gemma 4 and Supertonic TTS) that prioritize speed over the largest models, making it practical for everyday use without monthly subscription fees.
