Spotify launches a CLI tool in beta that lets users create AI-generated podcasts from documents and schedules and import them to the app.

Spotify released a new command-line interface (CLI) tool in beta that works with AI coding agents like OpenAI's Codex, Anthropic's Claude Code, and OpenClaw to generate podcasts from existing material such as documents, daily schedules, and articles.

Users can write a prompt (for example, requesting a deep dive into World Cup history), have the agent generate a podcast, and save it directly to Spotify. The resulting podcasts appear in the user's library but are not shared with other Spotify users.

To use the tool, users visit the GitHub page, log in to their Spotify account through a browser, and follow instructions to generate and import audio. Spotify said people are already using agents to create personal audio for use cases like exam prep summaries and calendar briefings.
