Wonder founder Marc Lore says AI can generate and launch a virtual restaurant brand in under a minute through Wonder Create

Wonder Create uses AI to generate a restaurant's branding, menu, and recipes, then launches the concept across Wonder's kitchen network. Users describe what kind of restaurant they want to build, and the system completes it in under a minute, according to Lore speaking at The Wall Street Journal's Future of Everything conference on May 4.

Wonder currently operates 120 kitchen locations, which the company expects to grow to 400 next year. These kitchens contain roughly 700 ingredients and employ robotic systems including conveyors and robotic arms. The company acquired Spyce Robotics for $186.4 million from Sweetgreen last fall to advance automated meal production.

Financial planners note that while AI makes launching a restaurant brand faster, managing multiple income streams remains complex due to unpredictable earnings, scaling costs, and longer-term financial planning challenges. Some individuals are re-evaluating their financial strategy in light of a more entrepreneurial, AI-driven economy where income can be variable and harder to forecast over time.
