Core Scientific announces 440 MW expansion at Oklahoma data center campus to 1.5 gigawatts of gross power, with stock rising 7% in pre-market trading.

Core Scientific plans to expand its Muskogee, Oklahoma campus to 1.5 gigawatts of gross power, or about 1.0 GW of leasable capacity. The expansion builds on an initial 100 MW data center phase announced in November 2024 that was designed to host NVIDIA GPUs.

The company is funding expansions across multiple states—including a parallel 1.5 GW expansion at its Pecos, Texas campus announced on April 27—through a $3.3 billion senior secured notes offering due 2031 and a $1 billion loan from Morgan Stanley secured in March.

Port Muskogee projected the overall facility would bring more than $4 billion in capital investment, $182 million in local net benefits, and 150 jobs with average salaries exceeding $65,000 over the life of the project.
