Google upgrades NotebookLM with Gemini 3.5 model and Antigravity code-execution capability

NotebookLM moved to Gemini 3.5 Flash, added support for more file types, and integrated streamlined web source integration. The service also gained embedded support for Antigravity, enabling it to write and run code in support of research goals.

In side-by-side evaluations against the older Gemini 3.1 version, the upgraded NotebookLM averaged a 65 percent win rate across Google's five core evaluation dimensions: Accuracy and Quality, Multilingual Support, Large Document Analysis, Document Creation, and Advanced Research.

NotebookLM now includes its own cloud computer and comes with more than 100 software skills that enable workflows previously requiring switching between apps.
