Deep Learning with Python, Third Edition now available to read online free, with new chapters on transformers, LLMs, and diffusion models

Keras creator François Chollet released the third edition of Deep Learning with Python as a free online book, featuring completely rewritten content including fresh chapters on transformers, building GPT-like LLMs (AI systems that understand and generate text), and generating images with diffusion models.

The book includes hands-on, code-first learning with examples in Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX; code can be run directly from the browser via links at the top of each chapter. It targets readers with intermediate Python skills and requires no previous machine learning or linear algebra experience.

A physical copy is available for purchase through Manning Publications to support the authors' work, though the online version remains free to read.
