Apple to power new Siri with NVIDIA Blackwell chips via Google Cloud starting September 2026, as NVIDIA launches Nemotron 3 Ultra AI model

Apple plans to launch a new generation of Siri in September 2026 that will route heavier cloud-based queries to Google Cloud infrastructure running on NVIDIA Blackwell B200 data center chips, after Apple's own Private Cloud Compute proved insufficient. Apple approved NVIDIA's confidential computing technology, which encrypts data and AI models during processing.

NVIDIA unveiled Nemotron 3 Ultra, an open-source AI model with roughly 500 to 550 billion parameters designed for advanced reasoning and agentic workflows (AI systems that plan, execute, and iterate on multi-step tasks with minimal human oversight). The model delivers up to 5x faster inference and lowers the cost of complex agentic tasks by up to 30%.

The Nemotron 3 family recorded more than 50 million downloads in the year leading up to April 2026. NVIDIA's positioning as both a chipmaker and full-stack AI platform company (offering hardware and software) coincides with Apple's consumer AI launch cycle.
