Cloudflare launches Pulse, an AI gateway that routes requests across 19 providers while enforcing spend limits and scanning for threats at the edge.

Pulse is a control plane deployed on Cloudflare Workers that accepts requests at a single OpenAI-compatible endpoint and routes them to 19 native providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, DeepSeek, xAI, Bedrock, Vertex, and others) while preserving each provider's native wire format.

Every request flows through ten stages on the edge — admission control, authentication, rate limiting, idempotency checks, budget enforcement, ThreatPrint scanning (under 2 ms scan budget, 96% detection, 0% false positive), upstream routing, output firewall, and finalization — before the app receives a response.

The Developer tier (free, 250k requests per month, 1 seat, 14-day retention) includes the full proxy gateway and cost tracking; the Pro tier ($25/mo, 2M requests per month, 3 seats, 30-day retention) adds full ThreatPrint, output schema firewall, and cross-tenant canary detection; the Team tier ($125/mo, 20M requests per month, 10 seats, 90-day retention) adds SAML SSO, RBAC, audit logs, and WebSocket live feed.
