Proofpoint launches dedicated MSP Platform business unit and introduces Proofpoint 365 Total Protection for North America following Hornetsecurity acquisition

Proofpoint established MSP Platform, a dedicated business unit serving managed service providers and small and mid-sized businesses, following its acquisition of Hornetsecurity in December 2025. Hornetsecurity's platform, which serves 125,000+ customers across 120+ countries through a network of 12,000+ channel partners and MSPs, now forms the foundation for Proofpoint's MSP business globally and is being deployed in North America.

Proofpoint 365 Total Protection unifies email security, AI-powered phishing and ransomware defense, backup, compliance, security awareness training, and AI cyber assistance in a single multitenant solution for the MSP channel. The platform also includes automated and compliant email archiving, encryption, continuity, access control and compliance support.

A strategic partnership with Pax8 Marketplace and new U.S.-based data centers strengthen Proofpoint's North American MSP ecosystem, offering simplified deployment and data sovereignty for small and mid-sized businesses.
