AIToday Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AI news delivery service "AIToday" (https://hellomarvisaitoday.com, the "Service"), operated by Marvis Inc. (hellomarvis.com, "we", "us", or "our").

By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Service.

2. Service Description

AIToday automatically collects content from more than 100 AI news sources, generates AI-powered summaries, and delivers them through user-selected channels (Email / Slack / LINE).

Important: News summaries and article images provided by this Service are automatically generated by AI. We do not guarantee their accuracy or completeness. Please use the original source links included with each article to verify content.

3. Eligibility

• The Service is intended for users aged 16 and older. Users under 16 are not permitted to use the Service.
• Registration requires authentication via Google OAuth.

4. Accounts

• Users log in using their Google account.
• You are responsible for managing your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts suspected of unauthorized use.

5. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are prohibited when using the Service:

• Mass automated scraping of Service content
• Placing excessive load on Service infrastructure
• Unauthorized access to other users' accounts
• Using the Service for illegal activities
• Interfering with the operation of the Service

6. AI-Generated Content

• News summaries are automatically generated by Anthropic Claude (AI model).
• Article images are sourced from the original publisher's page or Pexels (stock photos).
• AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not be used as the basis for investment, legal, medical, or other critical decisions.
• Copyright of original articles belongs to their respective news sources.

7. Automated Processing

The Service performs the following automated processing:

• Topic classification: Automatic categorization of articles into AI-related topics
• Scoring: Automatic evaluation of article importance and relevance
• Personalization: Optimization of delivered content based on user interests

8. AIToday Pro (Paid Plan)

• Price: ¥980 per month, tax included.
• Payment: Credit card, processed by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Free trial: 14 days, once per person. Cancel during the trial and you are not charged. Re-registering with the same email address does not grant a second trial.
• Automatic renewal: The subscription renews automatically each month on the same day until you cancel.
• Cancellation: Cancel at any time from "Manage billing" in Settings. Pro remains available until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
• Refunds: Because the plan is a digital service delivered immediately, payments already made are not refunded, except where required by law. If you cancel, Pro remains available until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
• Price changes: A price change applies only to subscriptions started after the change. If you subscribed at ¥980, you keep paying ¥980. We announce any change at least 30 days in advance by email.
• Failed payments: If a charge fails, Stripe retries for a while and your access continues during that window. Access ends when Stripe stops retrying.

9. Disclaimer

• The Service is provided "as is".
• Content collection and delivery may be interrupted due to changes or discontinuation of news sources.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI summaries.
• We shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Changes to and Termination of the Service

• We may modify or discontinue the free parts of the Service. For significant changes we notify users via registered email or through the Service.
• If we discontinue the paid plan, we notify every paid member by email at least 30 days in advance. After that notice we do not charge you at the next renewal, and Pro stays available until the end of the period you have already paid for (payments already made are not refunded). We do not end a paid plan without notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time.
• Updated Terms become effective upon posting on this page.
• We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-service notification.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
• Any disputes arising from the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
