Small teams are using AI agents as real teammates to operate like much larger organizations, while Meta builds an AI replica of Mark Zuckerberg to scale his presence across the company.

Fathom AI, an Austin startup that began this year with three people and $300 of their own money, reached $300,000 ARR in three months. One client, Tiger Aesthetics, opened 225 new accounts in one quarter after adopting Fathom, compared with zero accounts opened in all of 2024.

KNOWIDEA, a three-person company founded by 23-year-old Yatharth Sejpal (who has never written code), signed six enterprise customers and hit $500K ARR in six months, with a strategic investment at a $15M valuation.

Meta is building a realistic AI version of Mark Zuckerberg that can sit in meetings in his place, fed with his public remarks, speaking style, and strategy thinking. The company is also asking staff to design their own agents to automate internal work and directing product managers through an internal AI 'baseline' with technical design questions and 'vibe coding' exercises.

The agents are designed with clear boundaries: they can draft responses, tidy inboxes, pull context for meetings, and keep contacts in step with email and calendar. Changes that commit users to something—like sending messages or booking trips—require confirmation before execution.
