DeepCtx VS Code extension auto-generates codebase context summaries for AI tools using Groq API

DeepCtx scans a repository folder by folder, generates AI-powered technical summaries of each folder's purpose, and saves the full context to a .deepctx.md file that users can paste into ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or other LLMs before asking questions.

The extension respects common ignore patterns (node_modules, .git, dist), is fully configurable (choice of model, ignored folders, max files per folder), and requires only a free Groq API key—no account or additional setup needed.

A full scan of a medium-sized project (50 folders) costs fractions of a cent in Groq API fees; users can optionally switch to llama-3.1-8b-instant for faster summaries on large repos, and the context file can be added to .gitignore if it contains sensitive architecture details.
