Salesforce announced a $1 billion investment in Spain over the next five years, unveiled at the inauguration of its new five-floor Madrid headquarters on Paseo de la Castellana.
The new headquarters will house a dedicated team to develop AI skills and bring together engineers working directly with Spanish customers on agentic use cases, per Salesforce.
Impact: The move lands on Spanish enterprises such as Repsol, CaixaBank and Telefónica, plus the Madrid regional government's digital services, which already use Salesforce's agentic AI platform.

Salesforce has had a presence in Spain since 2003, building more than 600 direct jobs and supporting thousands more across its partner ecosystem. The new Madrid headquarters sits at the center of that footprint, and the AI Implementation Team is designed to deepen it: Forward Deployed Engineers will work directly with Spanish customers on agentic use cases, while a regional center recruits and trains graduates.
The investment also builds on existing relationships. Hundreds of Spanish organizations, including Repsol, CaixaBank and Telefónica, already use Salesforce, and the Comunidad de Madrid has integrated its Agentforce platform into a public-employee support center. Alongside the commercial expansion, Salesforce cites more than $2.4 million in philanthropic donations to Spain and nearly 90,000 employee volunteer hours.
