Hasan Piker, Twitch political commentator, says he does not use AI and believes it is making humanity dumber

Piker, who hosts the number-one channel in Twitch's Politics and Commentary category with more than 3 million followers, stated he does not use AI and has never asked AI anything.

Piker identifies cognitive offloading, hallucinations within AI, and labor displacement as major problems, arguing that AI is being used by capital owners to replace the workforce for higher profit margins rather than to lift the burden of work.

Piker expressed frustration that generative AI is being applied to creative tasks—which he views as what make humans human—while humans continue to perform rote tasks that AI should handle instead.
