
SkyfireAI announced an $11 million seed funding round led by Mucker Capital, with participation from AI Fund, SaaS Ventures, and others. The Huntsville, Alabama-based company is building software for public safety and defense organizations to deploy and manage drone operations for use cases including 911 response, search and rescue, and critical incident monitoring.
The platform shifts operations from pilot-centric control to what the company calls "AI-native autonomy," where missions can be pre-planned or triggered automatically. The system navigates to locations, avoids obstacles, and prioritizes areas of interest using real-time decision-making, allowing a single operator to oversee multiple drones instead of requiring one pilot per aircraft.
The company positions the platform as enabling coordinated multi-drone operations where multiple aircraft work together simultaneously from different vantage points—for example, one drone mapping an area while another tracks movement and a third provides situational awareness to responders. The funding will support continued platform development, team expansion, and additional deployments with public safety and defense organizations.
