Alphabet updates Pentagon agreement to allow AI use for classified government tasks

The move has created internal tension: hundreds of Alphabet employees recently urged CEO Sundar Pichai to block use of the company's AI in classified military work. This tension follows the Pentagon's decision to drop Anthropic from a similar arrangement after Anthropic sought restrictions.
