Nvidia's annual Taiwan supplier spending surged from $10–$15 billion to $150 billion, with plans to quadruple its local workforce.

Nvidia now spends up to $150 billion a year on Taiwan suppliers like TSMC, compared with $10 to $15 billion annually three or four years ago, according to CEO Jensen Huang at a company event in Taipei.

Nvidia plans to quadruple its Taiwan workforce from 1,000 to 4,000 employees and build a new campus called Constellation in Taipei, with construction starting in late 2026 and completion set for 2030.

AMD announced more than $10 billion for Taiwan's chip ecosystem, though that figure represents a multi-year investment in added capacity, distinct from Nvidia's annual spending measure.
