FORT Robotics acquires Mapless AI to add remote teleoperation and onboard environmental sensing to its Trust Platform

FORT Robotics, which has deployed more than 19,000 units to over 600 customers since its 2018 founding, acquired Mapless AI, a Boston- and Pittsburgh-based developer of teleoperation and onboard active safety technology.

The acquisition adds two capabilities: Human-in-the-Loop from Anywhere (remote teleoperation that lets off-site specialists monitor and operate vehicles from any location) and Onboard Active Safety (environmental sensing that lets machines detect, anticipate, and respond to their surroundings in real time).

FORT said the merged platform transitions from safety-certified machine control to a comprehensive architecture for supervised autonomy, enabling a single off-site operator to safely monitor and intervene across multiple vehicles while keeping workers out of high-risk zones.
