Apple is in early beta stages of new developer tools, prompting questions about whether mobile device management (MDM) settings can force LLM requests to remain on-device rather than being sent to external servers.

Some organizations want to enforce a policy where data stays on the endpoint (the user's device) while blocking data from leaving it, separate from Apple's existing Private Cloud Compute protections.

The ease of toggling such a setting through MDM is unclear at this stage of the beta release.
