Sign up free →Amazon announced Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments in preview, a set of features within Amazon Bedrock AgentCore that allows AI agents to access and pay for resources such as web content, APIs, MCP servers, and other agents. The capabilities were built in partnership with Coinbase and Stripe.
Agents can now make instant micropayments—typically under $1 or fractions of a cent—to access paid endpoints using the x402 protocol (an open HTTP-native payment standard for stablecoin micropayments). Developers set per-session spending limits and explicit wallet authorization, with payment orchestration happening within the agent's execution loop without interrupting its reasoning.
End users can fund wallets through Coinbase or Stripe Privy using stablecoin or fiat (debit card), and the Coinbase x402 Bazaar MCP server makes paid services discoverable to agents so they can find and use relevant paid resources without hardcoded integrations. Companies like Cox Automotive, Thomson Reuters, PGA TOUR, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Heurist AI are already using or exploring AgentCore for agent workflows.
