VCI Global launches post-quantum AI cloud in Malaysia with $6M first phase

On July 23, 2026, VCI Global Limited (NASDAQ: VCIG) announced the launch of V Gallant AI Neo Cloud (VGAIN Cloud) through its wholly owned subsidiary V Gallant Limited. The platform is marketed as a sovereign AI cloud offering post-quantum-ready encryption and high-performance computing designed specifically for enterprises, government-linked organizations, financial institutions, and regulated industries that handle sensitive data, intellectual property, and mission-critical workloads.

The first-phase deployment is supported by a planned US$6 million（約9.6億円） investment to install NVIDIA Blackwell-class GPU and Intel-powered CPU systems across selected sites in Malaysia's Selangor and Kuala Lumpur regions. The VGAIN Cloud architecture is engineered to scale to up to 1,000 NVIDIA Blackwell-class GPUs, contingent on customer demand, hardware availability, site conditions, and project economics. VCI Global has already launched its flagship VGAIN Cloud facility in Selangor, which will function as the initial hub for commercial onboarding, demonstration, and deployment. The company plans to expand across Kuala Lumpur using a distributed AI compute pod strategy, bringing computing capacity closer to enterprise customers and supporting localized AI workloads.

According to Audrey Liu, Chief Executive Officer of V Gallant, "The launch of VGAIN Cloud represents an important step in our strategy to build a scalable AI infrastructure business. As enterprises increasingly move AI from experimentation into mission-critical applications, we see an opportunity to provide the computing capacity and secure infrastructure required to support that transition." The platform is positioned to support enterprise AI applications including agentic AI (autonomous AI agents), private large language models, AI inference, confidential data processing, cybersecurity, and enterprise automation. The first phase is expected to be implemented over approximately 18 months, subject to procurement, site readiness, installation and deployment milestones, and is being undertaken in partnership with Omnia Nexus Group.

VCI Global's entry into Malaysia's sovereign AI cloud market reflects a broader trend among enterprises and regulated sectors seeking alternatives to major public cloud providers. The post-quantum-ready encryption design signals awareness of long-term cryptographic security concerns—relevant for organizations that must protect data classified as sensitive for decades. By positioning VGAIN Cloud as infrastructure for "mission-critical" workloads rather than experimentation, VCI Global is targeting a segment that has shown demand for localized, compliance-friendly compute capacity.

The partnership with Omnia Nexus Group and the phased geographic expansion strategy (flagship facility in Selangor, then distributed pods in Kuala Lumpur) suggests VCI Global is building incrementally rather than attempting a single-site deployment.
