OpenAI Codex hackathon track offers $10,000 in cash and ChatGPT Pro subscriptions with Codex as judge

OpenAI is running a dedicated Codex Track with $10,000 in cash plus ChatGPT Pro subscriptions awarded to the top 3 builds in a hackathon competition.

Entrants build a Space using Codex (a coding agent that understands and generates code) as their primary tool, push the code to a public GitHub repository with Codex-attributed commits, and add the repo link to their Space README to qualify.

Codex itself evaluates every entry and scores submissions based on how well participants used Codex and the overall quality of their Space.
