AirData UAV joins Commercial Drone Alliance to prepare for FAA's Part 108 rule on Beyond Visual Line of Sight operations

AirData UAV announced its membership in the Commercial Drone Alliance this week, positioning its fleet management and compliance platform as infrastructure for operators preparing for the FAA's anticipated Part 108 rule, which is expected to expand routine BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations in the United States.

AirData's platform supports automated compliance documentation, digital checklists, flight logging, pilot tracking, and fleet-wide analytics. The company says its system currently supports more than 61 million flights across 450,000 pilots and 850,000 drones worldwide and is used by enterprise operators, public safety agencies, and commercial drone programs in multiple countries.

Part 108 is expected to create new requirements around documentation, personnel oversight, operational risk management, and continuous reporting, with compliance expectations likely to include maintenance records, pilot currency tracking, operational histories, and documented procedures for risk management.
