Amazon Quick adds five new capabilities to accelerate enterprise data analysis, including natural-language dataset queries, AI-generated explanations, and dashboard generation.

Amazon Quick now includes Dataset Q&A, which lets users ask questions in natural language about their data and receive SQL-generated results across millions of rows in seconds, with row-level and column-level access policies automatically applied to ensure security without additional configuration.

The system generates explanations showing the full reasoning chain—tools invoked, SQL generated, filters applied, and assumptions made—so data analysts and business intelligence engineers can inspect and tune the agent's logic before releasing it to stakeholders.

Dataset Enrichment lets teams provide plain-language descriptions and instructions at the dataset and column level to teach the AI business vocabulary (e.g., whether 'revenue' is net or gross), so the system applies agreed-upon definitions instead of making assumptions from column names alone.

The AWS Technical Field Communities program used Dataset Q&A to improve query accuracy by over 48 percent and reduce resolution time from 90 minutes to under 5 minutes across over 15,000 members.
