Xbox is winding down Copilot on mobile and stopping development of Copilot on console, new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced

Asha Sharma, who took over as Xbox CEO in February, announced the moves on Tuesday as part of a broader reorganization that brought executives from Microsoft's CoreAI team to Xbox.

Copilot on mobile will be wound down, and development of Copilot on console will stop entirely. Microsoft had previously stated that gaming-focused Copilot would come to current generation consoles sometime this year.

Sharma stated that Xbox needs to move faster, deepen connection with the community, and address friction for players and developers, and that the company will retire features that don't align with where it's headed.
