CopilotKit raises $27 million in Series A to deploy AI agents inside applications

Seattle-based startup CopilotKit raised $27 million in a Series A round led by Glilot Capital, NFX, and SignalFire. The company builds tools to help developers integrate AI agents directly into apps rather than as standalone chatbots.

CopilotKit's AG-UI protocol is an open-source standard that lets AI agents communicate with user interfaces and generate dynamic, context-specific UIs (like pie charts or interactive components) instead of returning only text. The protocol is supported by Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, and frameworks like LangChain, Mastra, PydanticAI, and Agno.

AG-UI and CopilotKit see millions of installs per week, with a large portion of Fortune 500 companies using the protocol in production. Enterprise customers include Deutsche Telekom, Docusign, Cisco, and S&P Global.

CopilotKit currently has about 25 employees and plans to use the new funding to grow its team.
