Deepseek makes 75 percent discount on V4 Pro permanent, pricing output tokens 34.5 times cheaper than GPT-5.5

Deepseek announced it has made permanent a 75 percent discount on its flagship model Deepseek V4 Pro, which was originally set to expire on May 31, 2026. Under the permanent pricing, one million input tokens cost $0.435 and one million output tokens cost $0.87.

Deepseek V4 Pro is about 11.5 times cheaper than GPT-5.5 on standard input pricing ($5.00 per million tokens) and about 34.5 times cheaper on output ($30.00 per million tokens). Both Deepseek models offer a one million token context window and support OpenAI and Anthropic API formats.
