NTT's move comes after it made NTT Data Group a wholly owned subsidiary in September 2025, aiming to shift its weight toward overseas IT growth as the domestic telecom market matures. The group targets raising NTT Data Group's EBITDA from about 810 billion yen in fiscal 2025 to 1.2 trillion yen in fiscal 2030, and AI sits at the heart of that global strategy.
NTT Data Group had already maintained a presence in Silicon Valley to explore ties with local startups. AIVista is different in kind: it is a company that builds and sells AI platforms, not an office that only tracks technology and startup trends.
The office is in a business park in Palo Alto, near Stanford University, and its roughly 35 employees are mostly AI engineers from GAFAM and other Big Tech firms. It is led by a person who held senior roles at AWS and Nvidia, suggesting NTT is betting that hiring talent from the center of the AI boom is the fastest route into the global enterprise AI market.
