AMD announces over $10 billion investment across Taiwan's AI ecosystem and plans to widen strategic partnerships

AMD said on Thursday it would invest more than $10 billion across Taiwan's AI ecosystem and widen strategic partnerships to expand its manufacturing capabilities.

The U.S. chip firm will collaborate with Taiwanese firms ASE and SPIL to develop more power-efficient technology for AI systems and processors.

The announcement reflects AMD's strategy to deepen ties with Taiwan-based manufacturers as it scales AI chip production.
