Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announces partnership with Uber to power robotaxi fleet across nearly 30 cities and 4 continents by 2028

Nvidia and Uber will deploy robotaxis across nearly 30 cities and 4 continents by 2028, according to an announcement by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during the chipmaker's earnings call on Wednesday.

Nvidia's CUDA cores (parallel processing programs that handle multiple tasks simultaneously) will enhance robotics, autonomous vehicles, and embedded medical instruments, part of what Huang called a shift toward 'physical AI' with billions of autonomous and robotic systems operating in the physical world.

Nvidia's automotive revenue reached a record $2.3 billion in the last fiscal year, up 39% from the prior period. First-quarter revenue came in at $81.615 billion, up 85% year-over-year.

Uber has committed $10 billion toward Robotaxis and has partnerships with Lucid Group Inc., Rivian Automotive Inc., and Alphabet Inc.-backed Waymo, among others.
