AWS makes Claude Cowork available through Amazon Bedrock, letting non-engineers across organizations use AI coding assistants without developer setup

AWS announced Claude Cowork and Claude Code Desktop are now accessible through Amazon Bedrock — the company's platform that manages AI models. Previously, these tools were limited to individual developers at their desks; now entire teams in any business role can access them directly or through an LLM gateway (a traffic router for AI requests).

The shift moves AI coding help from a developer-only tool to an organization-wide resource. Knowledge workers — accountants, project managers, analysts — can now use the same AI assistance for repetitive tasks without needing IT to install special software or grant access to each person individually.
