Dessn, an AI design tool for production codebases, raises $6 million led by Connect Ventures

Dessn, founded by Gabriella Hachem and Nim Cheema, announced $6 million in funding led by Connect Ventures, with participation from Betaworks and N49P. Current customers include teams at Color, Wispr, and Mercury.

Dessn allows designers to run and iterate on existing codebases in the cloud without setup cost by abstracting away dependencies, enabling easier handoff to developers. It differs from ground-up ideation tools like Lovable or v0 by Vercel by focusing on iteration of existing code rather than new ideas.

The tool lets users create designs by prompting, with free access to compile one repository and try five prompts per week. Paid plans start from $39 per user per month and unlock more prompt limits, public links, and the ability to opt out of AI training.
