Sign up free →Robinhood on Wednesday announced support for AI agentic trading and a new agentic credit card. Users can create a separate account for their AI agents, connect them to a dedicated wallet, and allow agents to analyze portfolios and execute trades using only the pre-loaded balance.
Agents can connect to Robinhood's Model Context Protocol (MCP) service to analyze concentration risk and sector exposure, execute trades, and identify investment opportunities. Users receive notifications of all trades, can monitor agent activity in the app, and must approve certain trades before execution. Robinhood includes fraud detection with a team to review suspicious trades.
The agentic trading feature is launching in beta for stocks only; the company plans to add support for options, crypto, event contracts, futures, and prediction markets soon. The virtual credit card is currently available only to Robinhood Gold Card holders, with monthly spending limits and optional approval requirements for each payment.
Robinhood acquired AI research platform Pluto in 2024 and added an AI assistant offering investment advice last year. Other companies including Stripe, Amazon, Google, and Prava Pay are also building products enabling AI agents to make payments on users' behalf.
