Japan's cabinet public affairs secretary Kozo Saiki officially launches X account following one-month trial

Saiki, cabinet secretary for public affairs, officially launched an X account on Tuesday after a trial period beginning May 1, aiming to share information about Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's administration.

During the one-month trial, the account shared behind-the-scenes moments unavailable to media, including instances of Takaichi presenting gifts to South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and attending Cabinet meetings in summer shirts from Okinawa Prefecture.

The account has gained more than 100,000 followers. Saiki plans to continue sharing information flexibly and in a timely manner while experimenting with various types of posts.
