Google is adding a feature called 'a preview of perspectives' that displays firsthand sources from social media, Reddit, and web forums within AI Search results, presented as 'Expert Advice' with the creator's name, handle, or community name included.
The update also adds related links beside AI response text (such as cycling blogs when searching for cycling routes), suggestions for related topics at the end of responses, and highlights for links from users' news subscriptions in AI Mode and AI Overviews.
Google says the change aims to address that 'people are increasingly seeking out advice from others' when searching for information online, building on the common practice of users manually adding 'Reddit' to search terms to find real human experiences instead of SEO-optimized results.
