Dutch battery maker Tulip Tech raises funding from Parcom and Keen Venture Partners to expand UAV battery production

Tulip Tech, based in Den Bosch, Netherlands, announced a strategic investment to expand production of high-energy battery systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, ground vehicles, and underwater systems. The company delivered more than 100,000 battery packs in a single month for the first time in April.

Tulip Tech's batteries extend UAV flight times by 30% to 100% compared to standard battery packs, addressing a key operational limit for drone endurance in inspection, security, mapping, and military applications.

The investment reflects European efforts to reduce reliance on Chinese-made drone components and build sovereign industrial capacity. Governments and drone manufacturers view supply chain independence as a national security issue, particularly for defense and critical infrastructure applications.
