Venture capitalist David Sacks steps down as Trump's AI and Crypto advisor after exceeding 130-day limit for special government employees.

David Sacks, a tech billionaire and venture capitalist, revealed he is no longer a special government employee (SGE) and has resigned as President Trump's Special Advisor on AI and Crypto.

Sacks' SGE status allowed him to work simultaneously in the private sector and government, but was limited to 130 days maximum.

Sacks had served as Silicon Valley's primary advocate inside the White House and was a key architect of the administration's aggressive AI policy initiatives.

Questions have been raised about why Sacks remained in the position for more than a year despite the 130-day legal limit for SGE appointments.
