WHO IT HITSSocial media users, e-commerce shoppers, and platform moderators who need to flag deepfakes and synthetic product photos can install the free Chrome extension, while developers can integrate the API.

Pangram Labs first put its image-detection model out in July as a research preview, Pangram Image 0.1. The 1.0 release follows user feedback and is described as improving detection of deepfakes, low-resolution images, and content from state-of-the-art generators.
Alongside the image model, the company released Pangram Image Flash 1.0 for AI-generated video, which it says scored 98.69 points on the DF26 benchmark, 29 points ahead of the runner-up. The company also cites a benchmark of 1,200 composite images built on real photos, where it detected 99.96%, and says other benchmarks exceeded 99% detection.
The distribution model mixes free and paid access. The Chrome extension is free to install, but automatic social-media scanning sits behind a paid plan, and an API is offered at $0.25 per image for Pangram Image 1.0 and $0.05 per image or per second of video for Flash 1.0.
