Rezolve AI was founded in 2016 to address online-shopping cart abandonment, which CEO Dan Wagner said has stayed near 70% even as checkout, payment and shipping processes improved. By contrast, he said seven out of 10 visitors to physical stores ultimately buy something — a gap the company's commerce-focused language models are meant to close.
Wagner described two product directions. The first is an AI agent deployed on a merchant's website that answers product questions and guides shoppers through a purchase, which he likened to an in-store sales interaction. The second is agent-to-agent commerce, where AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity AI and Google's Gemini query retailer sites on a consumer's behalf. Wagner acknowledged that probabilistic language models can make mistakes, and said Rezolve has spent nearly a decade working on hallucinations and model drift so merchants can feed information to outside agents while protecting their customer relationships.
Wagner said Rezolve reaches the market through direct sales, partnerships and acquisitions, including its 2025 purchase of search company Attraqt. Whether the revenue trajectory holds is likely to hinge on how quickly those channels convert into paying merchants, and on whether the company's claimed conversion gains prove durable at customer-facing scale.
