JR Tokai will operate a Disney-themed shinkansen bullet train on its Tokaido line starting Friday to mark Tokyo DisneySea's 25th anniversary, offering passengers a branded travel experience through mid-March 2027.

What happened: JR Tokai unveiled the Sparkling Dreams Shinkansen, a specially decorated train featuring DisneySea's "jubilee blue" anniversary color, Mickey Mouse and friends, and Disney-themed interior designs. The train will run up to two round trips a day on Hikari and Kodama services between Tokyo Station and Shin-Osaka Station until mid-March 2027.
