OpenAI releases ChatGPT plugin for PowerPoint in beta, warns it may change or delete content if requests are unclear

OpenAI has released a ChatGPT plugin for PowerPoint available in beta across all tiers (Free to Enterprise). Users sign in with their OpenAI account, and access depends on plan and admin settings.

The plugin can build new presentations from notes, documents, spreadsheets, or images; edit existing slides; and answer questions about a deck's structure, gaps, and target audience. It integrates with Gmail, Outlook, and SharePoint. Some features like complex formatting and custom fonts are not yet fully supported.

OpenAI cautions that ChatGPT 'may change or delete content if a request is unclear,' and recommends users be specific, review changes, and save important decks before the plugin makes edits.
