What happened
Floqer said Wednesday it plans to open-source the technology behind its autonomous customer knowledge database, targeting early 2027 pending security reviews, and that it has surpassed $1.2 million in ARR.
Why it matters
Sales and revenue operations teams that want to host their own data or build on the technology would no longer depend on Floqer's proprietary platform, which the startup says is demand-constrained.
What to watch
The open-source release is targeted for early 2027, pending security reviews because the database can hold sensitive customer information.

Floqer started with a Chrome extension called "Super Chat," which let anyone log in with their ChatGPT account to understand information and take notes. The founders then noticed enterprise companies were using that extension to clean up data in their CRM systems, and those customers told them cleaning CRM data was super manual with no established processes around it. Floqer pivoted from there to build its current product.
The company now describes its technology as a fleet of AI agents that continuously research companies, people, and customer interactions. According to Floqer, customers have reported cutting prospecting time by as much as 70%, and its system monitors the web so that job changes, promotions, or a prospect's company raising new funding are reflected in customer records.
The open-sourcing plan has operational conditions attached. Floqer is conducting security reviews before releasing the database publicly, since it can contain sensitive customer information and large companies already use it. The founders, Shivam Mahajan (CEO) and Zaaheda Islam, met at university; before Floqer, Mahajan was a software engineer at Kyndryl and Islam was a senior data scientist at Axis Capital.
