
ZeroDrift announced a $10 million seed round on Tuesday, with investors including a16z Speedrun, Reign Ventures, PitchDrive Ventures, and U&I Ventures. CEO Kumesh Aroomoogan stated the fundraise closed within three weeks and was oversubscribed by 3x on the amount.
The system sits between AI models and end users, using deterministic programs to apply compliance standards like SOC 2 or GDPR, then deploying an LLM (a language model that generates text) to rewrite flagged messages into compliant versions. This architecture enables lower latency and higher reliability than conventional LLMs.
Use cases include AI chatbots deployed to consumers, as well as AI-generated messages within automated systems that humans never see. The company sees the total addressable market as larger than chatbots alone, though currently relatively small.
