Sign up free →LinkedIn disclosed that its agentic AI hiring products are on track to generate $450 million in sales in the coming year. The company launched two primary agentic AI products for recruiters—one for large businesses and one for small businesses—some of which were in testing for nearly a year before release.
The products work by having an AI agent (software that takes instructions and independently completes tasks) take instructions from a human recruiter to understand what they are seeking, then sift through LinkedIn profiles to find candidates for follow-up by the human recruiter.
LinkedIn said the products are helping recruiters save time and get higher response rates when contacting potential hires. Dan Shapero, LinkedIn's new CEO, stated that recruiters told the company half their day was low-value work, and the focus on understanding customer pain rather than racing to launch an AI agent was the right approach.
